Source: EU to prolong blacklist of Russians Thu automatically
BRUSSELS, Mar 9 (PRIME) -- The E.U. will prolong the sanctions against Russian and Ukrainian officials and organizations over the Ukrainian conflict on Thursday automatically, with no debates, sources in the E.U. told PRIME on Monday.
“The decision will be formally approved on Thursday, it will be put on the A list of questions (approved without debates) at a meeting of the Justice and Home Affairs Council. Three people were removed from the list because they are no longer alive,” a source said.
The Committee of Permanent Representatives will approve the sanctions Wednesday without discussions as well, he said.
Another source confirmed the information and said that sanctions will remain in force till September 15.
